Day 43 - A pokemon I hate trying to catch

This was difficult, because there arent many, apart from the ones that make you put a lot more effort in, such as the pokemon that flee. grrrrr.

I think for me it has to be feebas. I probably spent 2 days game time looking for that fucker in the space of about a week, and I never found one. Quite frankly, Im shocked they made it so hard, 6 squares on one of the longest routes there is, cos it is a game designed for 10 year olds. How are they meant to figure it out.

Day 42 - A pokemon I hate to battle

This wasnt that difficult. One of the pokemon I hated to battle was breloom, cos unless I had a fire type, I found it really hard to defeat it. Now I love breloom and is a regular in my team. Another was Cradily. One of the elite 4 had it in the third gen games, and I think it was using harden loads or was weakening my attack some how, but as I was attacking it, it was only taking off like 1 hp a time. It was insane. 

However the pokemon I have chosen as the pokemon I hate to battle has to be walrein. Its definitely not my favourite pokemon, but far from the worst too. It comes up more than cradily too. Its high hp, attack and defence make it so difficult to defeat, making it the pokemon i hate to battle. 

Day 41 - Favourite Eevee

Now this IS a difficult one. This is possibly the hardest decision I ever have to make in the games, unless I decide to go for a full team of eeveelutions. But thats a tangent for another day. I love them all for one reason, their elegance. The first three, then the second two and now the third two. I think my least favourite is leafeon, purely cos of its scragily tail (I would like to point out that when I was a lot younger, and drew made up pokemon for fun, I drew a couple of eeveelutions. There was steeleon and wierdly enough, there was a leafeon. I had already made up the name. It looked nothing like the actual leafeon, but I felt impressed but sort of cheated at the same time……anyway). Glaceon was cool, but the fact that vapoureon can use ice moves, renders glaceon obsolete. Umbreon is so amazingly cool, but has no decent moves, as do most dark type pokemon. I think my favourite has to be espeon. The most elegant looking of all, with the red dot on its head. And my favourite colour too (although not my favourite shade of that colour)

Day 40 - Favourite Legendary

This was tricky as all legendaries have their good points. Mew, with its status of “the most powerful pokemon of all” from the first film. Then there’s the two dragons, zekrom and reshiram, who showed their power in the new films. 

However after careful consideration, I think my favourite is Dialga. I think this may have been the first pokemon ive chosen as a favourite from the fourth gen (must check), but being able to move freely through time as well as being able to create time loops etc. Plus it just looks awesome. 

Day 39 - Favourite Pokemon Movie

This was difficult, cos there are so many now, and so many of them have such epic moments and epic pokemon in them. 

I would just like to point out that in the first film, there is a bit right at the beginning where giovanni uses his mewtwo against various trainers and pokemon. There is a 5 second bit where its up against a magnaton, and with the music, magnatons voice as well as the epic thunder bolt noise, it is one of my most absolute favourite movie moments…….anyway…..

One of my favourites is the brand new ones where there are actually two movies, just slightly different from each other. I love it cos it has my favourite pokemon in it, golurk (flying too!!), as well as tepigs amazing ember attack due to victini. My jaw dropped to the floor. 

I think my favourite pokemon film though is destiny deoxys. Although its a bit of a pants plot, and they do a similar plot with deoxys in an episode, it has loads of my favourite pokemon in, such as blaziken and metagross. I think thats my entire reason behind it. But despite that, I love them all :-D 

Day 38 - Favourite Pokemon Professor

It used to be professor oak, as im sure everyones was. However it has gradually changed. Professor Birch, a field expert, became my favourite when the hoenn games came out. Now I must admit my favourite pokemon professor is Professor Juniper. 

So young, and so elegant, shes a motherly figure for anyone starting out their pokemon journey. 

Day 37 - Favourite Rival

Never really given this much thought either. Plus what would be classed as a rival? In the games there are only 9 but in the program, there are hundreds. To keep it simple, I am going to stick with the games and go with Wally from the Hoenn region. 

After helping a nervous boy go out to catch his first pokemon, and a best friend for him to move with, it was such a great thing to see him grow and change throughout the game, more so as a person than anything else. A nervous boy changed into one of the more powerful pokemon trainers in the game, and oozing confidence by the end of the game. And to think, in the beginning, I was the one to help him. Gave him that first push off the ledge to him becoming independent and confident. I guess its a parenting feeling. 

Day 36 - Favourite Elite Four Member

This was tough too as I had never really given it much thought, same as the gym leaders. I liked drake from the hoenn elite four. He was so hardcore. Almost pirate like too. Then theres Grimsley from the unova elite four. He was so cool, suave and……elite lol. I hated will tbh. Will became an elite four member in silver and gold, however lorelei (super smart and hot water type user), agatha (old lady, ghost type user) and lance (dragon type user) were no longer elite four members in silver and gold. Who knows what happened to the other two, but lance became champion. 

Based on the original games, Lance is definitely my favourite elite four member. He uses dragon type pokemon and he has a cape. Its just too epic for words. 

Day 35 - Favourite Gym Leader

This was kind of tricky as its not something ive ever given much thought. Brock I thought was so cool when pokemon first started. The fact that the first gym had, at the time, the biggest pokemon was so cool. It wasnt a gym for wusses. 

In the new games I loved drayden with his up turned beard making it look like the jaw of a dragon. It was awesome. Volkner was also pretty cool from the Sinnoh region (after he stopped being depressed in the series).

I think my favourite has to be Elesa though. Shes beautiful, and elegant as well as being an excellent gym leader of electric type which is one of my favourite types, as well as being able to use emolga, one of my favourite pokemon. 

What clenched it for me though is that shes a fashion icon, which under stereotypes she would be just a gym leader with no depth to her whatsoever. However she gave Bianca and her dad some great advice in the game and the series when Biancas dad came to collect her. That wise advice and made me love her so much more.

Day 34 - Favourite Region

Too much of an easy choice. Hoenn is by far my favourite region. I loved the gen 3 pokemon, so many of them are in my favourites, and normally in my team. The region just seemed like one of the better laid out ones too. I just love all the cities and everything. I would definitely live there.
